Our students have spent some time exploring various careers. In this session students will learn more about careers in the medical field and the options for trainings and education to reach their goals. Students will have also heard from a keynote speaker regarding positive habits, soft skills, and interpersonal skills needed in today's workforce. Please feel free to include the type of person who should consider a career in the Medical Field and if there is anything these young students can be doing at the ages of 11-14 to align them with any future aspirations they may have in the Medical Field. It should also include fun facts!!

Join this overview of my job as a medical doctor to make these connections and excite students about a potential career pathway!I'll use visuals and questions to engage students as I illustrate how learning about topics like math, science and logic in school helps set a foundation for a career as a medical doctor. We'll also explore my day-to-day work, the skills and training required for this field, and the medical industry as a whole.

The class that I am teaching, with our school counselor, is an online mentoring course, which exploring a variety of careers and the specifics in obtaining such careers. The medical field was one of the fields that came up most often after completing a survey with these students.
